Erosion Control Products
North American Green develops, produces, and distributes a complete line of high-quality erosion control products and associated installation products to meet the specific erosion control, sediment control, vegetation establishment, and/or vegetation reinforcement needs of nearly any application.
Permanent Turf Reinforcement
North American Green’s permanent turf reinforcement mats (TRMs) and composite turf reinforcement mats (C-TRMs) provide long-term erosion protection and vegetation establishment assistance while permanently reinforcing vegetation.
All North American Green permanent protection products – including our Vmax3® Composite Reinforcement Series and ShoreMax™ Soft Revetment Scour Protection Mat and Turf/Earth Reinforcement Mats (TERM) – enable vegetation to be used in areas where the forces exerted by water and/or wind exceed the shear limits of unreinforced vegetation.
Degradable Erosion Control
North American Green’s degradable erosion control blankets are designed to provide immediate erosion protection and vegetation establishment assistance, then degrade after the root and stem systems of the vegetation are mature enough to permanently stabilize the underlying soil.
Both photodegradable and BioNet® biodegradable erosion control blankets are available to provide short-term, extended-term and long-term protection.
Hydraulic Erosion Control
North American Green's hydraulic erosion control products (HECPs) control erosion and aid in vegetation establishment on a range of slope conditions. The products were developed in cooperation with Cotton Incorporated and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
HydraMatriCx™ Series and GeoSkin® Series products are made with a proprietary blend of straw, reclaimed cotton plant material, and tackifiers.
Sediment Control and Filtration
North American Green’s SedimentSTOP® Biodegradable Sediment Filtration System is an effective Best Management Practice to prevent much of the costly damage associated with unprotected topsoil, particularly on sloping areas or active construction sites that are vulnerable to significant erosion and sediment problems.
North American Green also offers Straw Wattles, an effective and economical alternative to silt fence and straw bales for sediment control and storm water runoff. Straw Wattles can be placed and staked along the contour of newly constructed or disturbed slopes. Their use to capture and keep sediment on the slopes is also a best management practice (BMP).
North American Green's Coir Logs are the only compressed coconut coir logs that are made in America. Used for sediment control, dewatering, shoreline protection and revegetation, these coir logs have the highest quality and consistency available in the U.S.A.
