North American Green Assembles Industry’s First Interdisciplinary Technical Team to Provide Comprehensive Erosion and Sediment Control Solutions
EVANSVILLE, IN. APRIL, 2006 - North American Green, the leading provider of erosion and sediment control solutions in the world, has expanded its Technical Services Department to offer customers multi-faceted support in cost-effectively preventing or resolving erosion and sediment control problems. This expansion includes three highly-skilled and trained technical representatives with expertise in soil and plant science, horticulture and biology as well as civil engineering.
According to Tim Lancaster, North American Green president, “complying with today’s EPA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations requires in-depth knowledge in the agronomic, soils, and civil engineering disciplines. Now with this highly trained in-house technical team and over 250 North American Green certified Erosion Solutions Specialists located around the globe, we offer customers the most comprehensive agronomic and engineering support needed to effectively design with and use our rolled erosion control products.”

 Maria Tegeler-Technical Services Representative
Ms. Tegeler will be assisting our distributors and customers with their technical service needs from specification development and cost-effective product selection, to assistance on proper usage of our Erosion Control Materials Design Software (ECMDS®) and North American Green’s Ultimate Assurance Product Performance Guarantee. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Plant and Soil Sciences from Southern Illinois University with a focus on the various aspects of plant and soils interactions along with erosion control. With her educational background and previous experience as a landscape plant and materials salesperson, Maria can provide specific vegetation selection solutions to be used in conjunction with our full line of erosion and sediment control products.  Jill Pack- Technical Services Representative
Ms. Pack will also provide assistance to our distributors and customers with their technical service needs from specification development and cost-effective product selection, to assistance on proper usage of our Erosion Control Materials Design Software (ECMDS®) and North American Green’s Ultimate Assurance Product Performance Guarantee. Jill earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University in Horticulture Science and then continued her education at Cornell University earning her Master’s degree in Horticulture and a minor in Biological and Environmental Science. While attending college, Ms. Pack was National President of the American Society of Horticulture Science Collegiate Association and also was involved in conducting many different scientific research projects in Controlled Environment Agriculture. Ms. Pack’s educational background brings increased environmental awareness to the team and with her previous teaching experience at Vincennes University she will be providing training to our staff and distributors.  Gabe Weaver, P.E. – Manager of New Product and Technology Development.
In addition to providing engineering design assistance and field support to our customers and distributors, Mr. Weaver’s primary focus will be identifying cutting-edge, solutions-based erosion and sediment control products and technologies, and developing those ideas and concepts into marketable goods. He is responsible for all research and performance testing programs as related to new and existing products as well as the technical liaison to key industry standards organizations. Mr. Weaver will manage the company’s ECMDS software and is responsible for all software improvements/changes including incorporation of new products, design procedures and technologies. Mr. Weaver graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and most recently was the Director of Engineering for Armortec Erosion Control Solutions. Gabe has been active in industry associations such as International Erosion Control Association (IECA), International Bridge Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), ASTM International, the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), the Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) and most recently became a North American Green certified Advanced Erosion Solutions Specialist. gweaver@nagreen.com
