Extended-Term Degradable Erosion Control Blankets

Extended and long-term degradable erosion control blankets utilize a double netting structure and a coconut fiber component that provides extra protection during an extended grow-in period. These blankets are designed for immediate to long-term erosion protection and vegetation establishment assistance on severe slopes, channels, and shorelines. By incorporating coconut fibers and long lasting, UV stabilized nettings, the SC150 and C125 blankets provide a higher degree of erosion protection, durability and longevity than single- and double-net short-term products. Our SC150BN and C125BN erosion control blankets consist of straw/coconut or coconut fibers stitched into or between 100% biodegradable nettings woven from lightweight, high strength, jute yarn. These 100% biodegradable products offer superior flexibility and moisture absorption properties that help conform the blanket to the soil surface, which significantly increases erosion control performance. The SC150BN and C125BN provide environmentally friendly alternatives to synthetic netted products for sensitive yet tough erosion control projects.
