AESST Specialist II
During Advanced Erosion Solutions Specialist Training (AESST), Specialists are education and tested on an array of topics including:
- Updates and a refresher course of Erosion Solutions Specialist Training, which covers Rolled Erosion Control Products (RECPs), including Erosion Control Blankets (ECBs) and Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs)
- How soil structure and properties affect erodibility and testing, and the importance of maximizing vegetation
- Increased knowledge of NPDES Phase II and its implementation in specific regions
- Comparison of effectiveness of Best Management Practices (BMPs)
- Vegetation types compatible with RECPs and sediment filtration systems
- Methods and tools for advanced and special installations
- Advanced ECMDS® (Erosion Control Materials Design Software) program training
- Further training in the use and applications of SedimentSTOP®
- Analysis of North American Green’s competitive edge
